Eating Oatmeal is Not Enough to Lose Weight

Whole oats, oat bran, oat flour or oatmeal products have long been accepted as part of a healthy diet and a staple in most weight loss diet programs. They have been known to decrease LDL, more popularly known as bad cholesterol due its soluble fiber content. As soluble fibers pass through the intestines, bad cholesterol is trapped and prevented from entering into the bloodstream. Oatmeal products also contain antioxidants and phytochemicals that increase immunity to inflammation and cancer.
